The Arts Council of Carteret County and Carolina Artist Gallery announced the winners of the 2025 Into the Wild Show during the reception held on March 8th.
First Place
"Break Time"

Notes from Judge: The palette is soft, warm and muted. Very much appreciate the textures of the feathers, the way the water is faded behind them, and reflections in the wet sand.
Second Place
"OBX Egret"

Notes from Judge:
Love the vibrancy of color and the movement of the egret.
Golden hour nostalgia.
Third Place

Feeling sucked into the chaotic nature of these seagulls in action over the water.

Captured the beautiful intricate natural pattern of this bird in motion. I love how this artist successfully made this bird the star of the show.
