PLAN “B” STUDIO 

I’m Dave Slyck of Plan “B” Studio, a displaced or misplaced Yankee enjoying retirement life and a recent transplant to New Bern.

My enthusiasm in photography, upcycling art and epoxy resin has blossomed over the past several years.

I often combine various mixed media to create multi-faceted art pieces.  Recently, I have been exploring epoxy resins as an art form creating seascapes and nautical themed pieces, crystal sculptures and electric lights.

I have won a number of awards and my work has been displayed at the Bank of the Arts, Carolina Artist Gallery, and other local shows. I am a member of the Carolina Artist Gallery, Twin Rivers Artist Association, Craven Arts Council and Arts Council of Carteret County.

My main goal is to have fun and enjoy creating upcycled art, epoxy resin pieces and lights. I believe; Art should be used as a creative means to express life’s pleasures.  Additionally, I want to share my enjoyment of melding various art forms and upcycling art with you and hope you will enjoy it as well.
