February Proclaimed Art Month
Carteret County is home to a large population of artists and art lovers, so it is appropriate that our local municipalities have proclaimed February as Arts Month. The Arts Council of Carteret county is pleased to accept the proclamations from Atlantic Beach, Morehead City, Cedar Point, Pine Knoll Shores and Emerald Isle. Thank you to the mayors of these cities in our county for their support of the arts and in particular Art From the Heart.

Announcing Art from the heart 2026 awards
The Arts Council of Carteret County held the opening reception and awards presentation for Art From the Heart on January 29, 2026. The event was kicked off with a presentation of the February is Arts Month Proclamation by Atlantic Beach Mayor, Danny Navey.
