We will head to the gallery to put our knowledge to use in a discussion. Next, we will work on drawing projects based on the daily topic. Adults will choose their subjects to draw so you will be bringing inspiration! At the end of each class, we will share our work with the group. On, the last day we will have a mini reception for the last 30 min of class.About the Instructor Sarah Joan GrenierWhen I was really little, I sold my first crayon drawing for $1 to a lady who worked at a bank. My step mom was always encouraging me and saying I'd be a great artist one day.I discovered my love for art in high school and even got accepted into the UNCSA high school program for visual arts. After high school, I did a fun glassblowing internship too. I then went to college for art, but didn’t end up liking the major or the school and switched both! Since then I’ve been doing lots of other cool things for over 10 years. I’ve been creative in other ways like cooking and baking. I left my previous career in nutrition, had kids, and decided I wanted to be at home and take my time finding my way. I needed this elusive “gap year” I hear about.Alas, I found painting again! I’m thrilled to be back at it and bringing commissions to life. One thing I’ve learned on my journey so far, is to NEVER be afraid to change your mind!
Sketching for Beginners New Date
Your participation is important to us, however, enrollment is limited in our classes and workshops. Each class requires a minimum number of students enrolled to ensure adequate accommodations, materials and payment for the instructor. Once you have enrolled, we are counting on you to attend but we understand that situations may arise that are out of your control. A participant wishing to withdraw from a class or workshop that has not been cancelled by the ACCC must send a written request at least one week prior to the start of class. Please email Chris Stetson at chris.stetson@me.com. A full refund will be issued, minus a $10 processing fee per participant per class. Please allow 2 weeks for processing. For cancelations made within the week prior to the start of class or after class has begun a refund or credit cannot be given.
The ACCC follows the Carteret County School closings for weather or other emergency conditions. We reserve the right to cancel a class for any reason including minimum enrollment not being met. In the event that ACCC cancels a class you will be notified by email and a full refund will be issued. Please allow 2 weeks for processing.
