COLLAGE ART CAMP

THIS IS ART CAMP! Let’s mess around and have fun….

Drawing inspiration from contemporary abstract collage artists such as Linda Batchelor and Bobbi Baugh and others, students will choose color palettes and will work on fabric and papers to print, stamp, paint, draw, stencil, cut, and paste using textures from found objects to overlay and repeat the processes until they feel their expressions are complete. Composition, use of negative and positive space will be strong considerations for each artwork.

The processes are exciting as artwork changes rapidly before the artist’s eyes.

Students will bring 2-3 finished artworks home for framing.

WHAT TO EXPECT: NOTE – This class repeats. Two separate camps will be offered: Morning and Afternoon. Contact ACCC if you wish your child to attend both. A discount will be offered for a full day at both camps.

     - Different art mediums will be explored choosing which will give the desired effect.

     - Artwork will build daily on each other.

     - Students work independently and participate interactively to share their ideas.

     - Each 4-hour camp will have multiple breaks of approximately 10 minutes each.

     - Students’ daily work is retained as reference for additional work.

     - Students will create a portfolio to bring home at the end of the weeklong series.

     - Class work will be exhibited 15 minutes before pick-up time on the last day.

     - Students should dress to work with a variety of art mediums and to get their hands wet.

WHAT YOUR CHILD SHOULD BRING:

Ensure your child has non-peanut snacks & drinks daily.

Please inform your child that snacks are not to be shared. Thank you.

Fee: $250 Materials are included

Minimum 7; Maximum limited to 10.

Early Registration fee by April 20: $225, not to be combined with 2nd child discount.

10% discount for 2nd sibling after April 21
