After graduating from West Virginia Wesleyan as an art major, Richard taught art for 24 years at Torrington High School in Connecticut. During that time he pursued many art ventures ranging from restoring church murals to decorating the side of a paddle wheel boat, to winning prizes for teeshirt designs, posters, ice sculptures and logo designs. He enjoys creating works in oil, collage and construction media.
Ann’s motto is “Beauty is all around us, I welcome the opportunity to draw attention to it!”
BFA Manhattanville College, cum laude, majoring in painting and photography. MS Western Connecticut State University in Education Graduate studies in art in the United States and Italy
Taught art for over twenty years in Somers, New York, adult education in both New York and New Milford, CT. Also taught watercolor classes privately. Exhibited in both group and one-person shows in New York, North Carolina, and Connecticut. Founding member of Artwell in Torrington, Member of Washington Art Association and Kent Art Association. Her subjects in both painting and photography are primarily flowers, landscapes, waterscapes, and other scenes from nature.
After splitting there time between Connecticut and North Carolina they now live permanently in Cape Carteret, NC. They continue to paint the world around them.
