ARTrageous Art Show Scheduled May 18-19, 2013
Calling All Artists for ARTrageous Art Show, Morehead City Waterfront
The 4th Annual ARTrageous Art Show, sponsored by the Arts Council of Carteret County, will be held on the Morehead City Waterfront May 18-19, 2013, 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Saturday, and 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Sunday. More than 40 vendors will be displaying their art for sale – paintings, pottery, wood carving, and much more. There will be activities for children, art demonstrations, and a raffle for art prizes. ARTrageous is fun or the entire family and is held in collaboration with the Crystal Coast Boat Show.
The ARTrageous Art Show is a juried event. Artists who want to participate in ARTrageous 2013 must complete the Jury Application Form and the ARTrageous Contract.

2013-2014 Grassroots Grant Applications Due May 31
The Arts Council of Carteret County is accepting applications for its Grassroots Grants program. Grassroots program funds are generally awarded to provide outreach and program support to qualified arts organizations or organizations non-profit in nature and to support arts learning and arts in education programs. The deadline for applications is May 31.

Let the Summer Fun Begin at the Arts Council's Art Camp
August 5-9, 2013 • Carteret Community College
August 12-16, 2013 (Pottery Track only) • BluSail Gallery, MHC
Mark August 5-9 and August 12-16 on your calendars and plan to enroll your child (ages 10-15) in one or more tracks of summer art fun, sponsored by the Arts Council. In Week One (August 5-9), choose one from the following arts media: fiber art, painting, guitar instruction, photography, and drama. Week Two (August 12-16) is a week-long pottery camp.
